The Consular Sections in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will accept and mail ballots for US citizens registered in districts holding runoff elections, including the January 5, 2021, Georgia runoff elections for two U.S. Senate seats. Information regarding runoff elections, including registration and voting deadlines, can be found at FVAP.gov.
As we cannot guarantee that ballots will arrive in the United States on time to meet local election officials’ requirements, we urge eligible voters to submit voting materials at least two weeks before any deadlines. You may also consider returning your ballot to the United States via a commercial express courier service such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL for quick delivery.
The Department of State is committed to assisting overseas voters in casting their ballots. For instructions on how to vote from the United Arab Emirates, including instructions on dropping off ballots at the Embassy or Consulate General, please see our website https://ae.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/voting/ For general overseas voting information please see the Department of State’s web site Absentee Voting Information for U.S. Citizens Abroad or FVAP.gov.
Have Questions? Please contact the UAE’s Voting Assistance Officers at VoteAbuDhabi@state.gov or VoteDubai@state.gov. You can also contact the Federal Voting Assistance Program directly if you encounter issues with local election officials by emailing Vote@FVAP.gov or toll free by phone from many countries around the world.
