The United States Mission to the UAE, in collaboration with implementing partner AMIDEAST, is pleased to announce the three Emirati students who will be joining the U.S. Fulbright Foreign Student Program for 2021-2023. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides full funding for graduate students, young professionals, and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program operates in more than 160 countries worldwide. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year.
Aysha Al Memari, one of the three selected Emirati students, will pursue a master’s degree in Global Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. She looks forward to learning more about the American healthcare system while she is in the U.S.
Mohamed Fikri will take advantage of this prestigious U.S. scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning at Arizona State University.
Suad Yousef will participate in the U.S. Fulbright Scholarship program at Villanova University in Pennsylvania, where she will complete a one-year Master of Finance degree.
The Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship program was founded in 1946 by U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright to promote academic exchange, giving selected candidates the opportunity to study at U.S. universities. In the UAE, the scholarship is open to Emirati citizens. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides Emirati students and young professionals the opportunity to pursue graduate-level study in the U.S. The award includes funding for tuition, living, and travel expenses, as well as healthcare coverage.
