The United States Consulate General in Dubai represents American interests in Dubai and the five northern Emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah. Located in the Dubai World Trade Center on Sheikh Zayed Road, the Consulate General’s presence continues to expand in tandem with Dubai’s growing importance as a regional business and tourism hub. The Consulate General’s core missions include consular services, U.S. business promotion, U.S. Navy support, and political/economic reporting on developments in our consular district as well as in Iran.
The U.S. Consulate General offers a wide range of services to American citizens, UAE citizens, and third country nationals.
The American Citizen Services section provides services and information to American citizens, such as emergency assistance, passport services, notarizations, reports of birth of American citizens abroad, among others.
The Non-Immigrant Visa section serves UAE citizens and third country nationals who are seeking visas for temporary visits to the United States. Immigrant Visas are not processed in Dubai but are instead handled at the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Business and trade inquiries should be directed to either the Foreign Commercial Service or the Agricultural Trade Office.
Media inquiries should be directed to the Public Affairs Section. This section also maintains the Education Information Center for prospective students interested in studying in the U.S.
